I have been taking this drug for the past four years and it has had a great effect on my work life. I am able to concentrate for long periods of times and get massive amounts of work done. There are very few side effects that I have encountered.

I had a bladder infection about 2 months ago, and the doctor prescribed me Bactrim- he gave me 2 rounds of it, one for the current infection and one in case I got another one. I took it twice a day for 3 days. When I finished the course, I still had the bladder infection for another 2-3 days before my symptoms went away.

Last week, I got what I thought was another bladder infection, much worse than the previous one. I tried the second round of bactrim, but again the symptoms didn't go away, so I returned to the doctor (a different one this time). He said it appeared that this "new" bladder infection was actually the same one from before, so basically the bactrim did not treat it at all either time I took it. I'm dissapointed that I wasted my time and money on the bactrim which didn't even work.

I used to have terrible heartburn just about every day. Finally, my doctor prescribed Prilosec. After a few days, I didn't have heartburn. Whenever I tried getting off it, the heartburn would come back. I've been checked for serious conditions, but apparently, my body just produces a lot of acid. Prilosec is so important to me that for several years before it went over-the-counter, I used to pay $100 per month for my prescription. At the time I only made $14,000 per year. Not that the price has come down and I have insurance, I never go without it.

Unfortunately, when I tried this medicine I had vivid dreams and disturbing thoughts of death and suicide. I was pretty sick and my asthma was bothering me a lot, but I did not expect to feel suddenly obsessed with death. My husband assured me that this was not like me. We called the doctor and let her know that we threw the pills away. I didn't notice a whole lot of positive effects regarding breathing, either.

I had an abscessed tooth that resulted in an infection. The infection was right where the lip meets the gum. My dentist performed a root canal, and put me on some antibiotics. When I went back, the infection was still there. I started another round of antibiotics, and a massive flareup caused swelling of my entire upper lip area.
I went to the minor emergency clinic, and they game me a shot and proscribed 3 medications, one of which was the Flagyl.
At first it didn't seem to help much, but by the end of the second day the swelling had greatly subsided. It was only a 7 day supply, but it was one of the best antibiotics I've ever had to take.
I was warned of side effects, but honestly didn't experience any of them.

As a side effect of my multiple sclerosis, I experience constant fatigue and dizziness. At times it gets to the point where I am unable to do more than sleep all day, barely moving to take care of personal needs, much less the kids or housework.

When I first started taking Provigil, it was a drastic improvement. I started with 50 mg and as I became acclimated to it, I worked up to 200mg. I went off of it briefly with my last pregnancy, but have gone back to the 100mg and it's working great.

Using it has allowed me to have a normal, full, active day. That also leads to one of the problems. I feel too energetic, and the result of "too busy" a day leaves me bedridden the next few days. As long as I do not take my dosage too late in the day, or overdo it physically, Provigil is the perfect fit to help my with debilitating fatigue.

I have been prescribed this medication for stress related clinical depression. Compared to the brand version (Prozac) I have found no differences. The medication does an excellent job in keeping me well balanced and even tempered. The only things I don't like are that it makes me a little tired and unfocused (remedied by taking at night) and has reduced my libido to almost none.

I always use Motrin for headaches, stomach cramps, aches and pains, or as a fever reducer. I prefer Motrin over other over the counter pain relief medications. When used to treat pain or fever, it takes affect much faster than other similar medicines. I also like that the tablet form is easy to swallow.

I have been taking Avapro for several years now without any side effects or problems. During this time my blood pressure has come down into the health range. To start out with my doctor and I went through several different drugs looking for the right fit but each one I had a reaction but not Avapro. It is a great drug.

My daughter has seaonal allergies, which cause her to itch. Benadryl relieves the itching and as a result she is less irratable. The only draw back is that it does cause her to become sleepy. So, I am unable to use it during the day. I usually give it to her before bedtime so that she's not awake half the night due to her allergies. Before I starting giving her Beadryl she couldn't sleep.

My 5 year old daughter was precribed this medication by her pediatrician for aczema. It is a hydrating gel that keeps the skin mosturized. My daughter doesn't lotions that leave the skin feeling sticky. Her doctor prescribed this because it dries fast. That is the good thing about it. Also, it does not cause any side effects. The down side is that it is really expensive and her aczema has not improved very much since using this gel.

This antibiotic was prescribed to my daughter for an infection in her toe. Children like the taste, so that is definatly a plus. I also like that you only have to take it for seven days. She had a problem with her toe for two weeks before taking this medicine. It did not get better until her doctor prescribed this medication. She did not experience any side effects.

I have been prescribed various amounts of Effexor XR to help control anxiety, depression, and irritable bowel syndrome. Out of all of the SSRIs I have taken, Effexor was the only one my stomach could tolerate, and it actually helped my IBS. Unfortunately, it also has awful withdrawal symptoms, such as headaches and cold sweats. I adjusted my dose various times to try to deal with the night sweats it provoked and to see if my energy levels would increase on a different dose. In the end, I have discontinued use of the Effexor due to the side-effects.

I use this only when I have a bacterial infection. I am allergic to two different classes of antibiotics: penecillin and sulfa. This means that finding a good antibiotic is a challenge. Zithromax is a godsend because it works really well for me across a range of ailments. I also like the fact that in a few pills I can get the full treatment of antibiotics instead of having to take three pills a day for ten days. When I had a series of ear aches and had to take a lot of antibiotics, I got yeast infections as a side effect. Since my ear infections have been gone and I take antibiotics maybe once every two or three years, I have not had this side effect.

I have fibromyalgia and was prescribed gabapentin. It took awhile to get up to a dose that was effective (over 1000 mg), but this drug did reduce the pain a considerable amount. The only side effect was that I gained 40 pounds, and that is why my doctor took me off of it. I miss the good effect it had because the muscle relaxer I am using now is not nearly as good. On the other hand, getting rid of the 40 pounds is proving to be a difficult prospect. One of the side effects of this drug is sleepiness, however, my doctor told me if I titrated up (start small and work my way up to a therapeutic dose), then I would avoid that side effect. It took me about three months to get to the right dose, but I did not experience sleepiness.

I am on wellbutrin but I also need one other drug to help keep depression at bay. Last summer, that other drug was Effexor. Good news: it helped. Bad news: I ended up in the ER because of chest pain. It turns out that I had serotonin syndrome, which can be a negative side effect of combining a couple of antidepressants. It is a good idea to become aware of the symptoms of serotonin syndrome because some doctors don't think of it when you present with the symptoms. I have also heard that some people have difficulty getting off of Effexor, but I did not have this trouble. I was not on it very long.

Finding the right antidepressant and then finding the right dosage of it can be a challenge; I have been on six individually or in combination. Wellbutrin has helped me enormously. I am on 450 mg. per day which is the maximum dose. Any less than that and the depression reappears. But at this dose (with a little prozac), depression has been gone for close to a year. Not just simply lessened, but completely gone. I feel functional and able to do things like take care of my house and do my job. I do get sweaty, which could also be a function of my age. But I don't have dry mouth, which I did have on amytriptaline.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and my doctor put me on Cymbalta, which was a good first guess about how to deal with it. Unfortunately, for me, this drug did not do anything. I know other people who have been helped by it, so it's probably a unique feature of my body chemistry that kept it from doing anything for me.

Noting else got rid of my migraines as fast and had no side effects.

In my first three month of pregnancy I had that terrible vomiting and nausea, till my doctor recommended Promethegan every time I feel nauseated and it worked great .
The only problem was some of it side effects that was making me feel sleepy, but it’s ok as long as there is no vomiting.

I have been taking this drug for the last 6 months continuously as I am pregnant, and it is great. I was anemic and now I got my hemoglobin elevated to such a good level.
The good thing about that drug that it does not cause constipation as other iron supplements do, which is great during pregnancy. I highly recommend that drug.

My husband has taken this drug for the treatment of urinary tract infection and it worked great, a week after taking it he returned for another laboratory test and the results was great , the amount of infection decreased so much

I was prescribed Amphetamine Sulfate (Adderall) by my psychiatrist for inattention and problems concentrating. I knew most of my difficulty in focusing was due to my severe anxiety (I do not have and have never been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD), so I ended up trying this.
For the first couple of months I was taking this, I felt like I had double the energy, and I began losing weight at a somewhat fast rate. I could suddenly focus and actually understand things without having to read them twice, which definately helped with writing papers and studying for exams for school. Another thing I wish to point out was the way I felt while on this medication: I have had severe social anxiety disorder for the majority of my life, but while taking this felt a decrease in anxiety and inhibition in social situations. Seven months later, I decided to quit taking Adderall because, in retrospect, I was using it as a crutch and not because I actually needed it to function (like some people might).

I had a tumor removed from my ovary. I was in a lot of pain. The doctor prescribed me Tylenol with Codeine. It was awesome. It helped me so much. It made me sleepy and not in as much pain. The only side effect I had was that I would get an upset stomach if I didn't take it with food.

I love this drug! My children and I have been given it for various things including Bronchitis, sinus infection, ear infections, etc. You only have to take it for a week and your done! After about two days you feel much, much better! Easy to swallow tablets, VERY inexpensive! No side effects!B
