After trying through dieting and exercise to lower my blood pressure, the doctor finally prescribed 10 mg daily of Norvasc. I saw him every three or four weeks while we worked together trying to lower the numbers.
After the first few weeks when I returned to him for a checkup, my pressure was normal! And I had absolutely no side effects.

After returning again a few weeks later, for the second check up, we realized that the medication was working so well, he lowered the dosage. While going back for checkups every few weeks, he continued lowering the dosage. I am now on a 2.5 mg daily dose, and despite my poor diet and lack of exercise, my blood pressure is normal and staying that way. (PS I do try to watch my diet but am not always successful!)

A family member used this when she was bedridden because she started to have some rashs developing around the folds in her skin and it dried out those rashes in few days. We were happy with the result considering that you only need to use a very small amount on the affected areas.

One of our family member had been prescribed with Razadyne for Alzheimers. She did not get as confused as she did before she started. It was a small, but noticeable improvement with her short term memory. There was no side effects noticed.

I take this drug( off label use) for panic disorder.

The first few weeks I felt very lethargic.

I was really reluctant to take an antidepressent at first. However, after taking it for several days I noticed dramatic improvement in my mood.

Use of prozac along with counseling was of great benefit to me. Eventually, I got to a point where I was able to stop taking the drug.

My doctor worked with me so that I could stop taking it safely. If it had not been for this drug, I think my success in treatment would have taken much longer.

The side effects were not noticiable in my case.

I had a good experience with this medication. It really helped with the nasal symptons associated with my allergies. No more sneazing or runny nose. Plus there were no unpleasant side effects such as drowsiness. I highly reccomend it. It is important to note that it had no effect on my eyes.

I took this pill to help to lessen my periods. I suffer from severe cramps, which prevent me from being able to live my life each month. My doctor suggested that I take this pill to give me 4 periods a year, which would help me to live my life.
Whenever I change birth control pills I am nauseated, so I figured that this is normal. However, this was not the only side effect that I got from taking Seasonique. I gained about 15 pounds while on this medication (and have dropped all of that weight since I changed birth control pills). I had fewer periods, but my emotions were out of control. I would cry for no reason, and was getting anxiety attacks. All of these symptoms ceased when I changed medications.
I would caution women to consider the risks and the benefits before taking this medication.

I have a family member who was using Lexapro for depression and mood swings and it has improved her qualify of life as she does not have much episode of mood swings. She does not hallucinate as much too if she does take Lexapro so overall this prescription had helped her and her caregivers.

My mother-in-law had been prescribed with Lexapro for depression and swing moods and it has changed her quality of life. If for some reason, we don't give it to her on time we know exactly that the underlying cause of her change in moods and being irritable is the missed dosage of Lexapro.

My doctor prescribed this to me after I had been taking a few over-the-counter meds that hadn't done the job. Allegra was a little slow to work but worked well and relieved my seasonal allergies quite well. I also felt no side affects from using it.

Femara is used to decrease the chance of breast cancer returning. I am currently 10 years post diagnosis and my cancer has not returned. I will continue to take this medication until my oncologist will no longer prescribe it. I have experienced no side effects from this drug. I have heard that bone loss can occur but I have not experienced that side effect as evidenced by acceptable DXA results.

I took the 5mg capsules for insomnia for a while. It did exactly what I needed it to do, help me get to sleep after a long day that left me anxious about deadlines. I experienced no side-effects to speak of, and no sleep disruptions after I discontinued it.

I will use it again if I get insomnia like I had at the end of my last semester in college, but I can't say I'm planning on it.

My husband went to the doctors recently and they found that he had a blood clot. Before surgically removing the clot they wanted him to try Coumadin. For the first month or so he would visit the doctor weekly trying to get the right dosage for him. Once the finally got the right dosage, his clots begin to dissapear slowly. He's getting better now and the doctors hope to take him off the medicine soon. I'm estatic that the medicine helped him and saved him from surgery.

If anyone out there is ever diagnosed with some type of clot look at this medicine with your doctor it could help you. I owe my husband's safe future to Coumadin.

After being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, I tried another well advertised anti-inflammatory and had some serious side effects. My physician changed my prescription to 15 mg. of Meloxicam per day and I have had no side effects and it has helped with my swelling and pain. I also take several other prescriptions along with the Meloxicam to keep my rheumatoid arthritis symptoms under control. Meloxicam and these other drugs have made a huge difference in my life. I am no longer in constant pain, am able to move better and my swelling is under control.

I was also prescribed Vicodin after having my wisdom teeth pulled. It was recommended to me that I take the pain killer 2-3 hours after surgery, as the local anesthetic would wear off in that period of time.

So I took it after two hours or so---as soon as I felt a small amount of pain. I only took one pill, but it literally made me high. I was more talkative and outgoing. But I gradually started to feel more and more nauseous and tired, until I finally had to lay down because it was too much.

I slept for an hour. When I got up, I thought I felt better. But after about 20-30 minutes, I started to feel extremely nauseous and tired again, so I took another nap. I was fine when I woke up this time. However, I vowed never to use this medication again due to its unpleasant effects.

I went to see a psychiatrist/therapist because of a problem that was destroying my relationships and my life--compulsive spending. I was given Wellbutrin and after a couple of weeks of settling in, the changes in my impulsivity were astonishing. I still take the medication because it still works for me. It controls my spending. It keeps the craving for cigarettes far away from me, and it helps me to stay focused.

I am not qualified to recommend this medication to anyone. All I can do is say, in my case, it was quite near-miraculous. I don'ty expect to ever stop takingt it and i am perfectly alright with that. The blessings are awesome for me.

This medication does not work well for me. I have it prescribed for ongoing sleep trouble and severe arthritis pain.

It does make me have a little upset stomach if taken on an empty stomach but as far as the pain killing goes it does not help me that much and I still am not able to fall asleep very well. I am planning to ask the doctor when I go next if there is something different that might work better.

I have used Vicodin several times for pain, anything from migraines to moderate pain. I used it after by surgery and it worked well for the pain. Sometime you need to take an additional pill or two but overall it is very effective for its intended purpose.

The effect may be slightly weaker in my body type but it will vary in every person.

Recently, the FDA wants to regulate more strictly and/or ban Vicodin because it is mixed with acetaminophen. Best of luck with it if necessary.

I was in alot of pain from a recent operation. This did wonders. The pain was dulled and I sleeped like a baby. You need to take it with food or the reaction will be a upset stomach.

This has been a lifesaver with my allergies.
After spraying my nasal passages are clear all day. I only take it in the morning. I don't notice any side effects.

I've been prescribed Klonopin for about a year now. I really like the effect it has on my mood and attitude during my day to day. Since being prescribed this medication, I am more focused and willing to get up and get things done. It has a very positive effect on me. The side effects I've experienced are few, only occasional drowsiness. Overall, Klonopin greatly reduces my anxiety and will generally calm me down if I'm upset for any reason.

Nasonex was prescribed after I broke my nose resulting in a deviated septum. The specialist recommended I continue use and avoid surgery. It has been helpful in reducing the number of sinus headaches I've had over the years.

I was prescribed Neurontin for trigeminal neuralgia. I was suffering from stabbing pains in my right cheek and jaw. My doctor originally thought I had a dental problem and sent me to a dentist. He ran lots of tests and tried lots of treatments, but none worked. Finally, he referred me to a neurologist. She diagnosed me with trigeminal neuralgia, a problem with my trigeminal nerve. I took a higher dose of gabapentin until the pain was gone, and now I'm on a lower dose so it doesn't come back. I had no side effects, and I am very happy that I was finally given a proper diagnosis.

Several months ago my doctor prescribed Allegra for when my allergies acted up. When I get a runny nose I take it. Within a short while the runny nose stops and I avoid getting the cough that usually follows. It works very well for this. It’s great for 24 hours too.

I also use it before flying. In the past, I often came down with some sort of cold after taking a trip aboard a plane. Taking Allegra before a flight solved the problem. I love it!

My daughter was prescribed Elidel to treat her eczema a couple of years ago by her pediatrician. It did wonders in improving the condition of her skin. After the prescription finished, she stayed well for a while. Recently she has been having eczema flair ups, so her doctor prescribed Elidel again. It is working out well. She has not had any side effects while using this medication.
