My daughter has seaonal allergies, which cause her to itch. Benadryl relieves the itching and as a result she is less irratable. The only draw back is that it does cause her to become sleepy. So, I am unable to use it during the day. I usually give it to her before bedtime so that she's not awake half the night due to her allergies. Before I starting giving her Beadryl she couldn't sleep.
