I tried prevacid after my stomach was damaged by taking too many NSAIDS, and it has worked wonderfully on reducing my acid and stomach pain.

I started taking this drug in 1999 after I had cancer surgery. I developed a very bad pain under my right breastbone and ended up going to the emergency room. They discovered I had a bacterial ulcer and put me on a drug therapy of three different medicines. Two of them were to be taken for ten days and the third one, Prevacid, I have been taking ever since. It controls the acid in my stomach so that the ulcer does not return and my heartburn is gone. I have not had one side effect from this drug and it has definetly changed my life.

If I don't have this pill I get heart burn real bad.I take this pill everyday in the morning if I miss a dose I get heart burn.
I take a 30mg dose.It is the best pill I have taken for heart burn.I have taken other pills but this pill works best for me.
I haven't had any side effects as I know of I have been on this for more than 4 years.I am glad they have a pill like this.

After using Prednisone for far too long, I developed awful heart-burn and acid reflux. I tried using several of drugs like nexium to control my symptoms, but none of them worked as well as Prevacid. The only downside to Prevacid is that it gave me moderate dry mouth & a metallic taste in my mouth at times.

I've taken Prevacid 30mg dose for over a year. It works great to control my heartburn and acid reflux. I am able to eat or drink whatever I choose without fear of feeling terrible in the next few hours.
This doesn't come without side effects though:
-Once you start, good luck stopping. Cold turkey does not work, you must wean off Prevacid.
-Gas and abdominal pressure is the worst I've ever experienced.
-Lack of hunger.
-Dry mouth and a white tongue also come with Prevacid.
