Imitrex helped me immensely at first, but always left me very fatigued and I would have nausea and vomiting. BUT, the severe, blinding migraine would be gone. I would get about 5-6 migraines a month and so after awhile, even though it was working for the pain, I could not longer handle the other symptoms. The last time I took it, I took it to head off a migraine at the first onset of aura. After vomiting several times, I fell asleep on the bathroom floor and laid there for 6 hours! I use another medication now.

Imitrex will ALMOST always stop my migraines. The only downside is how it makes me feel. I can barely stay awake and i get very nauseous and often vomit.
