I suffered from severe pan-ulcerative colitis for several years before undergoing a 3-step J-Pouch surgery series. The UC gave me debilitating cramps & severe abdominal pain. Taking large dosages of a variety of anti-diarrheals also made my cramping even worse.
Donnatal was one of the few drugs that was able to give me some relief and improve my cramping and pain. While it doesn't "cure" any diseases, it certainly makes your pain more tolerable.
