I tried an over the counter medication, but it had to be taken twice daily and it made me restless at night. I had previously tried a prescription medication that is now over the counter taken once daily and had more stomach pain than from the acid reflux. I was eventually prescribed Aciphex. It works great. It completely controls my acid reflux when taken daily. My insurance company has tried to put me on other medications due to the cost of Aciphex but they fail to control my acid reflux. I keep coming back to Aciphex. It is the only acid reflux medication that works for me.

For years I had chronic and severe ulcer-like pain and resorted to taking as many as 20 antacid tablets a day to ease my pain. After undergoing several endoscope exams and seeing several doctors, my GE prescribed Aciphex to me.

After a few days I started to feel noticeably better. I was able to stop my bland diet after a week, and resume a normal diet that included Thai food and moderate alcohol consumption. This was a fantastic experience and since taking Aciphex, my stomach pains have ended.

For years I had lived with moderate heartburn until it rapidly became worse over a short period of time and could no longer be controlled with over-the-counter products. At that time my doctor prescribed Aciphex.

I've now been taking it for over three years and it's starting to be not quite as effective as it once was. I heard that can happen with reflux drugs. Regardless, it has helped me out a lot and I've experienced no side-effects while taking it long-term.

I was placed on Aciphex after I could not control my reflux with over the counter medication. I used it for 3 straight months with a significant effect. I no longer had heart burn. It was great. When I did a trial off of Aciphex, it returned. I again tried to use over the counter medication but it did not work. I returned to the trusted Aciphex and again, I had great results. One of the biggest benefits that I see of this drug is that it can be taken at any time of the day. Most other medications in this class have to be taken a certain amount of time before eating. Aciphex is not like that. I highly recommend it.
